Good afternoon,

As part of your managed services with the Rackspace team, we wanted to proactively let you know that we’ve noticed issues with Redis versions previous to 3.2.12. In order to mitigate any issues and unexpected downtime, we’ll be upgrading all instances to the stable version of 3.2.12.

We will be conducting Redis upgrades to version 3.2.12 on Wednesday, June 27 2018 from 10pm CT - Thursday, June 28 2018 at 1am CT.

During the upgrade, we’ll need to restart the instance which will cause intermittent connectivity issues.

As a precaution, you will want to confirm that your driver is compatible with Redis 3.2. Additionally, there have been some changes since Redis 3.0 that you should be aware of. The maxmemory policy now defaults to “noeviction” instead of “volatile-lr”. If you need this setting changed after the upgrade, please reach out to us at support@redistogo.com.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in advance. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to support@redistogo.com.
